    this plot with around 20ha occurred the production of gas since 1944 till 1999. It was also produced ammonium and phthalic anhydride. The installations were dismantled remaining 4 gasometers.

    Study for final destination options for sludge from Water Treatment Plant deposited (21500m3) in the Monte Novo Dam reservoir located SW of Évora.

  • ESPICHEL-SETUBAL AND SINES-ODECEIXE COASTAL CLIFFS RISK ASSESSMENT
    Detailed geotechnical assessment of the Espichel-Sado (30km) and Sines-Odeceixe (60km) coastal cliffs. These cliffs (in some cases located in crowded beaches) are characterized by high dynamism, which provides instability events (rock falling, toppling, landsliding and other disaggregation phenomena), representing high risk to the users.
    Definition of methodology for risk assessment based on risk concepts, magnitude and probability of occurrence, vulnerability and potential damage. Ranking of sites on a magnitude of risk in order to define intervention priorities. Geological and geotechnical detailed survey and mapping. Risk maps and mitigation measures. Monitoring and supervision of the corrective measures.
  • STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF A FORMER INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX URBANIZATION PLAN (BARREIRO, PORTUGAL)
    Development of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the urbanization plan of Quimiparque territory and surrounding area (PUTQAE), according to the Decree-Law n.º 316/2007, September 19th, in articulation with the Decree-Law n.º 232/2007, June 15th. Elaboration of the Environmental Report according with the Decree-Law n.º 46/2009, Februa 20th.
    Preparation of the SEA, definition of the scope of the SEA, consultation of entities and the public, preparation of the Environmental Report and respective public and institutional consultations, presentation of the Environmental Statement to the Portuguese Environmental Agency (APA).
  • DISMANTLING AND ENVIRONMENTAL REHABILITATION OF A PAPER-MILL SITE
    Complete dismantling and environmental remediation of the recycled paper plant, located in the Alqueva reservoir area. Removal of 267.000t of waste and "soil interface", 113.000t of sludge from the treatment lagoons and storage basins, 10.000t of soils and concrete of the plant foundation contaminated with hydrocarbons. This operation allowed the decontamination of the land taking into account the filling of the reservoir and secured a minimum impact on water quality.

  • REQUALIFICATION OF TRAJOUCE ECOPARK (CASCAIS)
    The methodology consisted of mechanical and manual screening of waste deposits (mostly soil and rocks, green waste and construction and demolition), followed by physical and chemical characterization, for segregation of clean soil to reuse on site, from contaminated soil to transport to licensed final disposal.
